Hello

for those of you have xbox live...do you know if it tells you ur membership expired or something? Cuz it wont connect xbox live anymore for me

I try test connection but it wont work

Where does the connection fail?

And, if your account doesn't have "Xbox Live" underneath the name, it means it's expired. Atleast I think so. I've still got 10'ish months on mine.

It doesn't fail...it just says will not connect to xbox live

You can always connect to xbox live, even without a membership.
If it expires, you just cant play online games but you can still download and see friendlists and stuff
Silver membership = free, Gold = subscription

My guess is, some thing wrong with the connection. Since you can still log on to live using a silver account. Check cables and plugs??

They also send e-mails about your membership - if it was expiring they would be like "oh noez givez us moar muniez!" ..... or something like that. Probably just a connection problem - not the first time Live has phailed miserably.

Gotta somehow hook it up to the internet. There's an Ethernet port on the back. You can either connect it directly to your modem or get it on a wireless network.

Unless you're talking about a membership. You can go to any electronics store and buy a subscription card. A 1 year subscription card is $50, and they also have 3, 6, and 9 month increments (they might have 1 month too, im not sure). Through your xbox you can set up an account assuming it's hooked up to the internet.

You can get on Live with the Silver Membership, and yes it is free. It is just quite limited on what you can do - you get demos and other things later than if you have a gold membership. And of course you cannot actually play against other people. :P

I think the silver membership is just for getting information on news and the gold is for everything else.
When I first got gold I saw that you can download Ninja Gaiden Black. Has anyone who played that game think it's something worth trying out?
